Buy the Dune Tank and Briefs sewing pattern from Christine Haynes. The Dune Tank is a minimal and elegant tank top, with bound armholes and necklines. The narrow straps attach to the body of the tank with O-rings and have elastic encased inside, so they won’t stretch out with wear. A wardrobe staple appropriate for wearing both at home and outside, it is ideal for lounging, exercising, or simply worn as a top. The Dune Briefs are a full cut, high-rise modern undergarment with elastic-free bound openings, so they won’t cut into your lovely curves for ultimate comfort. Lounge in the briefs at home, or wear under your clothes as traditional underwear.

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight 2-way or 4-way stretch knits with at least 2% elastic content, like cotton and spandex blends.

Fabric requirements:

Tank: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) // 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 1 yd (0.9 m).

Briefs: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric (up to size 3X only): 1 1/4 yd (1.2 m) // 58″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 3/4 yd (0.7 m).

Note: The waist binding piece for the briefs in size 4X does not fit on the crossgrain for 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric. If using a 4-way stretch fabric, this piece can be turned lengthwise and 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) would be required.

Sizing: XS – 4X (approx. UK 6 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread // Tank: four 1/2″ O-rings; 1 yd of 1/4″ elastic.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (25 pages); US copy shop pattern; A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet).
