This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you'll need to download the digital instructions, as we don't print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Make the Constance Overalls using a sufficiently heavy fabric that still has a very supple drape, like a cotton corduroy with wide or fine ribbing (baby rib). Denim or a thicker wool fabric can also be a perfect choice. Avoid fabrics that are too stiff and won’t fall well. Wash the cotton corduroy first before cutting out your pieces because the fabric will shrink lengthwise!

Fabric requirements: 140 cm wide fabric: 200 - 240 cm // 145 cm wide fabric: 180 - 250 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 54 (approx. UK 6 – 22/24). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread; 8 jeans buttons; 2 overalls buckles; 2 adjustable buckles; cotton lining, 35 cm.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (41 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets).

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.

Excellent fit - detailed dungarees instructions

This pattern has all the structural details to create proper fitting dungarees with all the classic details dungarees should have.  The curved panels mean a particularly good shape on the rear. It was difficult to trace because the normal dotted line for each size shows the sewing line and there are extra lines for cutting including seam allowance, making it complex to understand. If you're an intermediate sewer this is a great choice.

These Overalls Will Be My Constant Companion

This project was spurred on by #rainbowsewing2020 on Instagram. It's a way to celebrate Pride 2020 in these social distancing times. Happy Pride!

These overalls are a great fit. I love how they fit perfectly around the hips. They are a classic shape with all the classic details. The drafting is great. But the instructions can be clearer and more detailed. To be fair, it is rated 3 out of 5 stars for sewing level, so it's definitely not aimed at beginners. An intermediate sewer can certainly figure out what is not specified. However, the fit is so good that I'm considering getting more Fibre Mood patterns.
