Suggested fabrics: Primary fabric: Medium-weight, woven fabric with or without stretch. If using a woven with stretch, use one with a maximum of 12% stretch. Woollen, embroidered fabrics, suiting, crepe, jacquard, brocade, shantung, flannel and gabardine are good choices. // Contrast fabric: Medium-weight, woven fabric with no stretch. You can use the same fabric as the primary fabric. Woollen, embroidered fabrics, suiting, crepe, jacquard, brocade, shantung, flannel and gabardine are good choices. // Lining: Lightweight fabric. Charmeuse, China silk and lining fabrics are good choices.
Fabric requirements: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: Primary fabric: 1 1/2 – 2 1/8 yd (140 – 200 cm) // Contrast fabric: 5/8 – 3/4 yd (60 – 70 cm) // Lining: 1 3/8 – 1 1/2 yd (120 – 140 cm).
Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
Notions: Medium-weight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; one 21″ (54 cm) or longer metal separating zipper; two 5 1/2″ (14 cm) closed bottom zippers for the pockets; 11″ (28 cm) of temporary/wash-away basting tape (optional); one set of zipper top stops (optional).
