Buy the B6985 Vintage 1970’s Dress sewing pattern from Butterick. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Butterick Vintage 1970’s Wrap-and-Go dress. Semi-fitted, sleeveless wrapped dress has scoop neckline and purchased fold over braid finish extending into front ties. Easy – only three main pattern pieces. No buttons, no zippers, no snaps. Just slip it on wrap and tie in front and you are all set to go.

Suggested fabrics: Soft or crisp fabrics such as challis, gingham, jersey, lightweight double knits, polished cotton, polyester double knits, seersucker, surah.

Sizing: B5 (8-10-12-14-16), Y5 (18-20-22-24-26), which is approx. UK sizes B5 (6 – 12), Y5 (14 – 24) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. 6 1/2 yds. (5.9m) of 1/2″ (1.3cm) fold over braid, straight seam binding.
