Buy the B6988 Child Dress sewing pattern from Butterick. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Asymmetrical dresses are lined, have keyhole back closure and optional trim. Views A and B have sleeves with stays. Views C and D are sleeveless, armholes are finished with bias tape.

Suggested fabrics: Cotton/cotton blends, eyelet, seersucker. Lining: batiste, lawn, lightweight cotton/cotton blends.

Sizing: A (3-4-5-6-7-8) Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A,B,C,D: One 1/2″ (1.3cm) button. also for B,D: 2 3/8 yds. (2.3m) of 3/8″ – 3/4″ (1cm – 2cm) trim (optional). Also for C,D: One pkg. of 1/2″ (1.3cm) single fold bias tape.
