It has a relaxed shape, crew neckline and classic trim details. Keep it effortless with cuffed straight sleeves, or add some drama with on-trend balloon sleeves and deep cuffs.

Choose between the top length which sits on the high hip, or the mini dress which finishes 10 cm (4″) above the knee with gorgeous cutaway pockets. You can dress it up or down, whether you’re wearing Billie for a meeting, dinner date or Sunday on the sofa.

Suggested fabrics: Sweatshirt fleece, French terry, ponte, double knit, interlock or sweater knit with at least 10% stretch. Note you’ll need a sturdy machine to sew the balloon sleeve version in a thick sweatshirting fabric.

Fabric requirements: You may need less if using separate ribbing for cuffs, etc.

140 cm (56″) wide fabric: Version 1, 1.5 – 2.6 m (1 3/4 – 2 7/8 yd) // Version 2, 1.8 – 3 m (2 – 3 1/4 yd) // Version 3, 2.1 – 3.1 m (2 3/8 – 3 3/8 yd) // Version 4, 2.3 – 3.6 m (2 1/2 – 4 yd).

115 cm (45″) wide fabric: Version 1, 1.7 – 3.2 m (1 7/8 – 3 1/2 yd) // Version 2, 2.3 – 3.4 m (2 1/2 – 3 7/8 yd) // Version 3, 2.4 – 3.8 m (2 5/8 – 4 1/8 yd) // Version 4, 3 – 4 m (3 3/8 – 4 1/4 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 34. Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Matching thread; ballpoint machine needle; a walking foot can helpful if you’re using a regular sewing machine. If your main fabric has less than 20% stretch, use ribbing (at least 70 cm/27 1/2″ wide) for cuffs, etc., 0.7 m (3/4 yd) for regular sleeve or 0.8 m (7/8 yd) for balloon sleeve. If you’re using a stretchy sweater knit, use 30 cm (12″) of 6-9 mm (1/4″) wide satin ribbon, clear elastic or stay tape to stabilise the shoulders.
