Buy the Betty Trousers sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Betty is a timeless pair of high-waisted, ankle-length balloon trousers. These trousers are so easy to combine with other items in your wardrobe, and you can enjoy strolling about with your hands comfortably nestled in the pockets at the front. Betty is embellished with choice ’80s design details like slanted lines and triangles. And of course there are belt loops on the (straight) waistband.

Suggested fabrics: Betty looks fabulous in corduroy or velvet, denim, cotton twill, or woven jacquard – with or without a bit of stretch. Stay away from light, overly drapey fabrics and go for something more structured instead. Leather(ette) would be perfect for a dose of schwung.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 25 cm; 1 jeans button, 1.8 cm diameter; closed-end zip, 15 cm for sizes 4-16 or 17 cm for sizes 18-32; lightweight fabric or lining, max. 20 cm.
