Bella Loves Patterns Bennie Vest

Buy the Bennie Vest sewing pattern from Bella Loves Patterns. Bennie is a waistcoat with a v-shaped front neckline and side slanted double jetted pockets inserted into the front princess seams. It features four buttons at the centre front and a longer front hem. At the back, Bennie has shoulder darts, a centre back seam, back princess seams, and side ties to adjust the fit at the waist. The Bennie Vest is fully lined.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Lightweight woven fabrics with very little to no stretch. Suitings, crepes, linen, twill, natural and synthetic suiting, gabardine.

Lining: Soft lightweight fabrics, lightweight cotton, habotai, cupro, satin viscose, acetate.

The cover sample is made of 100% linen. The lining is 100% viscose.

Fabric requirements: 

Height Group 1: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Main, 1 – 1.1 m (1.2 – 1.3 yd) // Lining, 60 – 80 cm (0.65 – 0.85 yd).

Height Group 2: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Main, 1 – 1.6 m (1.2 – 1.8 yd) // Lining, 60 – 80 cm (0.65 – 0.85 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 22 (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted to fit a B cup size and has two height options:

Height Group 1: 160 cm (5’3″)
Height Group 2: 170 cm (5’7″)

Notions: Interfacing; 4 buttons, 1.2 cm-1.5 cm (1/2″-5/8″) diameter; stay tape (bias and straight edge tape).
