Buy the Lela Skirt sewing pattern from Sew DIY. The Lela Skirt is a casual skirt featuring an elastic waist, straight silhouette and a split hem in either knee or mid-calf length. This is a beginner friendly pattern that is equally easy-to-sew as it is to wear. This pattern is designed to be mix-and-match for a total of 18 different designs. Select from a gently curved hem, an exaggerated curved hem or a straight hem. You can also choose between in-seam pockets, angled pockets or scoop pockets.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight wovens, such as chambray, cotton lawn, poplin, rayon, polyester, crepe de chine, and georgette.

Fabric requirements:

Knee length: 115 cm (44″) wide fabric: 1 – 1.7 m (1 1/8 – 1 7/8 yd) // 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1 – 1.4 m (1 1/8 – 1 1/2 yd).

Midi length: 115 cm (44″) wide fabric: 1.3 – 2.3 m (1 3/8 – 2 1/2 yd) // 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1.3 – 2 m (1 3/8 – 2 1/8 yd).

Sizing: US 0 – 32 (approx. UK 4 – 30). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements. This pattern is designed for a height of 5’10” (178 cm). Adjust garment length at markings to suit your height and style preferences.

Notions: Thread; 1.25″ (3 cm) wide elastic (about 1.3 yd (1.2 m) enough to fit waist); 2.3 yd (2 m) of 0.5″ (1.3 cm) cotton twill tape or cord (for drawstring); scrap of interfacing to reinforce waistband at buttonholes.
