Buy the Balloon Cardigan sewing pattern from Wardrobe by Me. The Balloon Cardigan is a cosy, slightly oversized cardigan with dropped shoulders and banded edges. The sleeves and body are gathered to the cuffs and hemband, creating the cute balloon effect. Make it with the V-neckline (View A) or the round neckline (View B). Choose from two lengths and optional pockets.

Main: Light to medium weight jersey, fancy knit, French terry, thin dainty jersey. You can also use light to medium weight woven fabric for the body.
Cuffs and hemband: Rib fabric with 50% stretch.
Fabric requirements:
Main: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Views A and B Long, 1.4 – 1.9 m (1.6 – 2 yd) // Views A and B Short, 1.1 – 1.75 m (1.2 – 1.9 yd).
Rib: 150 cm (60″) wide: Views A and B, 0.2 – 0.35 m (0.25 – 0.4 yd).
Sizing: US 0 – 24 / EU 30 – 54 (approx. UK 6 – 24, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: 90 cm (35″) wide interfacing, 0.9 m (1 yd); buttons, 15-22 mm (5/8″-7/8″) diameter, 6 for View A Long/View B Short, 4 for View A Short, 8 for View B Long.
