Buy the Baby/Child Wild One Bubble Romper sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. This adorable bubble romper has options for wide straps, narrow straps, button front, button back, tie back and tie front. It can be made with or without a snap crotch, and is suitable for babies/toddlers in cloth nappies.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight woven fabrics. Fabrics with good drape are best. Cotton lawn, rayon and double gauze are all good choices. Slightly heavier fabrics such as quilting cottons, light denim, light corduroy or light wool blends will create a slightly more rigid outline, but can work well. Stable knits can also be used.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 50 – 110 cm (1/2 – 1 1/8 yd).

The fabric requirements are based on directional fabric. If your fabric is non-directional, you may need a little less. If you need to pattern match, you will need more.

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 4 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Maximum of 13.5 cm (5 3/8″) of 25 mm (1″) elastic for age 1 and smaller, or 14 cm (5 1/2″) of 32 mm (1 1/4″) elastic for ages 2-4 for the back; maximum of 31 cm (12 1/4″) of 10 mm (3/8″) elastic for the leg; maximum of 120 cm (22 3/4″) of 12 mm (1/2″) or 15 mm (5/8″) bias binding; small amount of fusible interfacing; 1 or 2 buttons (button closure only).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (12 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
