The button tab allows them to be converted from trousers to long shorts; perfect for a sunset stroll along the beach.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabric. This pattern is particularly suited to linen or cotton-linen blends.
Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 60 – 180 cm (5/8 – 1 7/8 yd).
Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart and finished inner leg measurements.
Notions: Waistband elastic, 25 mm (1″) wide for up to age 1, 30 mm (1 1/4″) wide for ages 2-6, 35 mm (1 1/2″) wide for ages 7-12; two small buttons; light/medium weight iron-on interfacing; drawstring cord (optional).
PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (22 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
