Buy the Amelie Dress, Top and Skirt sewing pattern from The Patterns Room. The Amelie Dress has an elasticated chest and waist, and side seam pockets. No closure is needed. You can make your straps fixed, tie them up, or leave it strapless. Amelie will be super cute and relaxed any way you make it. The pattern indicates a midi length skirt, but you can easily alter it to mini or maxi length. You can also use the pattern to make separates – a top and skirt – rather than a dress.

Suggested fabrics: Soft, flowing woven or knit fabrics such as rayon, viscose, crepe, etc.

Fabric requirements: 150 cm (59″) wide fabric: Dress, 2.1 – 2.9 m (2.3 – 3.17 yd) // Top with fixed straps, 0.55 – 1 m (0.6 – 1.1 yd) // Skirt, 1.7 – 2.05 m (1.86 – 2.3 yd).

Sizing: 10 – 18 (approx. UK 8 – 14, based on our standardised size chart) or 20 – 28 (approx. UK 16 – 24, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: Elastic for chest and waist, 2 cm (0.8″) wide. For the length, use your circumference – 10% + 15 mm (0.6″).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (36 pages for sizes 10-18 or 42 pages for sizes 20-28); A0 copy shop pattern (1 long sheet for either size). This pattern has layers so you can choose which size(s) to print.
