Spin her round though and you’ll discover an elegantly designed back opening. At the back, elastic brings in the waist of the dress for a striking accent. Alena is designed with a subtle fitted cut. She will look gorgeous in whatever length you choose.

Suggested fabrics: The ideal choice is a fabric with a nice drape that isn’t too lightweight. Alena looks great in jersey, e.g. bamboo French terry, viscose jersey, French terry, etc. Woven options that work well include double gauze and chambray.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric: 170 – 335 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 150 – 310 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; iron-on interfacing, max. 15 cm; elastic, 4 cm wide, 30 – 52 cm; bias tape, 61.25 – 79.25 cm. The elastic measurements are only indicative and depend on the type of elastic.

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (37 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern.

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.
