These pyjama trousers are quite nice when made and would make great Christmas gifts. The pyjamas fit well, even though I made them a couple of sizes too big. The only drawback is the piping makes the seams a little bulky, but This should not be a problem if using an overlocker- I didn’t. I wouldn’t exactly call myself a beginner as I have been sewing for years, but admittedly I have only made a few items from patterns. I think they are very professional looking and a high quality with lots of detail, but if you are a beginner I would recommend choosing a pyjama pattern that is more of a quick win because if all the techniques required are new to you as they were to me, then it may take a while to learn each technique you need ( for example making bias binding, piping, making buttonholes, inserting elastic.) That said the instructions are very detailed and easy to follow, but I think there are easier patterns for beginners who want to make pyjamas unless you have time on your hands and are up for a challenge. I cut off about 5 inches off the pattern length as I am only 5’2 so I had a lot of fabric left over. I would re-make these and I think they would be much quicker second time around. I would buy another sewaholic pattern due to good illustrations, lots of detail and well considered construction of garment. If you are more experienced I am sure you could run these up in no time at all.
