The Origami Dress and Top

This is the fourth time I have made something from this pattern. I have only liked two of the finished clothes. The reason is the choice of fabric. They say it is best made with jersey or stretch and that is entirely right. It also says a drapey fabric would suit The sleeveless short top . My experience is that the jersey is necessary particularly on the fit and drape of the sleeves. I have added a good 1inch around the sides of the sleeves which I found necessary even with stretch fabric ( and I don’t have fat arms!). This is a simple and satisfying make which is great if ,like me , you need to hide a post Christmas waistline.
