Simplicity dress 8379

Simplicity 8379 is a simple-to-sew tank dress with only three pattern pieces — dress, neck binding, and armscye binding. The dress features side flaps, which create voluminous draping at the sides. It’s an unusual silhouette, and I’m so glad I gave it a go!

Simplicity 8379 is perfect for someone looking for a fast project or is new to sewing knits. I also think it has great potential for pattern hacking — colorblocking, pockets, sleeves, etc.

I made this dress out of wicking athletic fabric, so it’s great to wear on a hot summer day.
