Buy the Simone Dress and Top sewing pattern from Victory Patterns. Simone is a semi-fitted style featuring a contrasting placket and tab detail from which pleats extend, creating fullness. A fitted neckline opens at the front and is secured with a hook and eye. The back features a contrasting racer cut yoke. Style variations include a dress with an asymmetrical hemline as well as a tank top. The garment has a side seam zipper closure. Optional piping can be sewn along the placket and back yoke seams to add additional texture and contrast.

Suggested fabrics:

Main: Lightweight fabric with a soft flowing drape. Cotton, rayon, linen, silk.

Contrast: Light to medium weight fabric. Cotton, rayon, linen, silk.

Fabric requirements: Allow extra fabric for matching stripes or plaids.

Version 1: 60″ (153 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 – 2 3/4 yd (2.3 – 2.5 m) // 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes 2-6 only): 2 1/2 yd (2.3 m).

Version 2: 60″ (153 cm) wide fabric: 1 5/8 – 1 2/3 yd (1.5 m) // 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 1 2/3 – 2 yd (1.5 – 1.8 m).

Versions 1 and 2 contrast: 60″ (153 cm) and 45″ (115 cm) wide fabric: 5/8 yd (0.6 m).

Sizing: 2 – 16 (approx. UK 8 – 18). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Lightweight fusible interfacing; small decorative button; 12″ regular zipper // Optional: 1 1/4 yd of 1/4″ piping or decorative cord for front placket and racer yoke seams; additional contrast fabric for front tab.
