Saltbox Tee – Blueprints for Sewing

A great pattern for using those small impulse buys or precious last pieces of your favourites beloved fabric. I used linen for the main part and some gorgeous cotton with a retro holiday chalet design for the contrast. Because of the asymmetrical cut you also end up with a nice piece perfect for homemade bias binding.
The PDF pattern was easy to piece & join the whole cutting out process was quick and simple, I usually hate this part. The instructions are well balanced with just the right amount of text and images. I agree with the advanced beginner rating , trust the pattern during construction: it looks like the apex won’t match but they do. I found this out after I joined them incorrectly, mine has the tips snipped off!
I am 5 foot 3, a size 10-12 , top heavy with not much waist, I shortened it slightly and when it make another I will grade the shoulder seams slightly as its a bit low.
I have worn it lots of times with jeans or a casual skirt, it’s a very satisfying sew and a perfect afternoon project.
