Buy the M8306 Laura Ashley top and skirts sewing pattern from McCalls. It’s perfect for an intermediate dressmaker. 1980s Vintage Laura Ashley. Fitted buttoned top, without side seams, has front tucks, lace trim, flared peplum and waistline casing with ribbon drawstring. Skirts have elastic in waistline casings. Skirt B has lower tucks, ruffle with ribbon and lace trim. Tiered skirt C may be worn over skirt B.

Suggested fabrics: Cotton blends, Challis, Lawn, Lightweight denim. Interfacing A: Lightweight fusible.

Sizing: A5 (6-8-10-12-14), F5 (16-18-20-22-24), which is approx. UK sizes A5 (4/6 – 10), F5 (12– 20/22) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A: Seven 3/8″ (1cm) buttons, 1 3/4 yds. (1.6m) of 1/4″ (6mm) ribbon, 2 yds. (1.9m) of 1/2″ (1.3cm) wide insertion lace, 2 1/4 yds. (2.1m) of 1/2″ (1.3cm) wide single edge scalloped lace. B,C: 3 1/2 yds. (3.2m) of 1/4″ (6mm) elastic. Also for B: 5 yds. (4.6m) of 1/2″ (1.3m) wide single edge scalloped lace.
