Ogden cami – True Bias

A review of True Bias Ogden Cami

For years people have been recommending to me the Ogden Cami. ‘It’s so easy’ they say ‘you can make five in a week!’ But for some reason I’d never been drawn to the pattern. For some sewers it feels like the basics almost aren’t worth sewing but as I discovered the fit makes all the difference.

The prompt for me to start my Ogden Cami adventure was the heat. In the UK this summer has been looong. I’m not used to it! With about a week’s worth of summer clothes and loads of fabric in my stash I thought I’d give the Cami a go.

I used some red fabric I’ve had in my stash for a long time and lined it with a darker red I also recovered from my drawer. It’s true this pattern is so easy and if you have an Overlocker (Serger) it looks just as beautiful on the inside. I cut out my preferred size and took it a size down from the bust. Then it was a perfect fit! Even the straps were easy to construct.

This is definitely a cheap and easy pattern and I can understand why so many people have made 2, 3, 4… If you have any leftover fabric the Cami is an easy and flattering make in no time at all.
