Nice blouse but tricky collar

A review of Fibre Mood Elisa Blouse

There is a lot to like about this pattern. It has no darts or yokes so the fabric pattern is not disrupted. The shape is boxy but I extended the length of the body 10 cm to get the size I wanted. I’ve made it in three fabrics and I am pleased with how they all worked. The red one is a thick shirting. I’ve also made it in a lighter cotton and in a viscose with long sleeves.

The problem with the pattern is the collar. It’s really tricky. I’m not sure I can get a better finish on it, and it takes away from the quality of the final blouse. From the other reviews, it sounds like this is a common problem. Much as I like the fit of this pattern, I may find another pattern so I can  produce better garments.
