I’ve made a few versions of this skirt now and it’s a really great basic skirt pattern. There are multiple versions to make it more pencil shaped, A-Line, short or long. I made version C in a lovely thick burgundy corduroy and I’m really pleased with it! There are darts at the front and back for shaping, it has a thin waistband and is finished with a lapped zip at the back (you could easily change this to an invisible or exposed zip however!) I decided to line this version as I knew most of the time I would wear it with tights for the winter. To do this I simply cut out slightly shorter pieces of the same main pieces but in a lining fabric and then sewed together in the same way and I just finished the back seam by tucking under the seam allowance either side of the zip! This is super simple but really effective skirt pattern, and I’ll definitely make more in the future!

Happy sewing!
