Maven Patterns Kitty Dress

If you’ve never sewn a Maven pattern you are missing out. Their drafting and instructions are outstanding and I really recommend anybody to try them.

The Kitty has a strong 60s vibe and I love the horizontal dart at the front. It also features a Peter Pan collar, 2 sleeve options and pockets. Great pattern for an adventurous beginner and no zips nor buttonholes to worry about. The dress is finished with facings, and I particularly like the clean look at the keyhole opening on the back.

I made a size 10 at the bust grading out to a 12 on the hips but would’ve probably been alright with a straight 10. I love the finished dress, though: lots of room to move and very comfortable indeed. Plus, I really enjoyable and easy project. Definitely a thumbs up from me.
