This is the second pair of Eve trousers I made, I’m currently on my third, with another pair planned. Such a good pattern, the cut is brilliant. I did have to make adjustments as I’m a bit hourglass with a flat bum. The photo makes me look thinner than I am, for some reason. I mostly adjusted by making the darts at the back longer and shortening the body where the pattern indicated, above the crotch seam. I love the flat front and the leg shape that hangs from the hip in a very elegant way. I love the slight tapering that gives a hint of a “balloon pant” look. I love the cropped leg and the detail of the back pockets. I made this pair in a pure wool check with a crazy magenta Lurex detail woven into it. A little scratchy and loose weave, so I lined them. I also have an orange cotton flannel pair, and I’m making one in a black viscose-linen with a lovely drape for the summer. The instructions are very clear (except for the zip insertion, which I have found a bit hard to follow from the illustration on my current pair, where I decided to follow the instructions rather than doing it the way I always do it). I like that there is a smaller envelope in the pattern envelope to keep the pattern pieces in, separate from the instructions. Definitely a ten from me.
