I found the time invested in cutting the pattern pieces and tailoring to my size was well worth it.
I has been searching endlessly for a dress pattern that would translate well into the Indian-style, Kurti I wanted to make. The Leisl Cinema dress has done this perfectly! The Indian block print cotton was a dream to sew. I plan to complete the whole outfit with wide, leg white palazzo and a chiffon dupatta (long scarf) which I will edge using the fabric I’ve used for the yoke, hem and cuffs.
I feel that this pattern is so very versatile. My mind is working overtime on the ways I can adapt elements to make a variety of garments!
