Lazo trousers – Thread Theory

A review of Thread Theory Lazo Trousers

The Lazo Trousers are the first pair of trousers I’ve ever made and they are soooo nice that I had to write a small review!

I had to make a lot of amendments to the pattern because I traverse between 3 sizes from waist, hip and thigh so they took me a short time to sew up, but a long time to get the fit just right for me and I wanted to do the adjustments while I was wearing it and not on the flat pattern.

The instructions were good and easy to follow, the fly was definitely the most intimidating piece of this pattern but wasn’t as tricky as I was expecting.

Fortunately there is a really good guide on the Thread Theory blog which shows you how and where to make adjustments for ‘problem areas’ so it was really easy for me to identify where to add extra for my ‘full thighs’ and how best to take in and shape for a smaller waist. I will definitely be making more of these and i especially want to try the casual lounge version that’s up on the blog too!
