Kinetic Tee PDF review

A review of Fehr Trade Kinetic Tee

If you want a casual top that’s a bit different from the norm then this Kinetic Tee could be just right. Although it’s the same basic silhouette as many others out there it’s the details that make it different. The shoulders have cut outs, the front and back features asymmetric diagonal seams and you have a choice of sleeves-long, short and twisted seam. I made the Kinetic using the twisted sleeve version in a fairly stable wool jersey rather than sports fabric and it’s worked well, it’s now a smart casual top rather than for exercising in. I found the instructions and diagrams nice and clear, the only area I struggled with was applying the binding strips around the cutouts. Melissa specialises in activewear so she gives alternative methods for sewing if you don’t have an overlocker or coverlock machine which is helpful too. I’m really pleased with the finished top because it’s a little bit different to a lot of the others, I’ve written a longer blog post on this top if you’re interested susanyoungsewing.wordpress.com
