Jessa Trousers – 70s Vibe

A review of Tilly and the Buttons Jessa Trousers/Shorts

One thing that is really missing in my ‘Me Made Wardrobe’ is fitted trousers so I decided to add to my slim collection with the Jessa Trousers. I love the 70s vibe of these, I was there the first time round albeit as a child so thought I would relive a bit of the 70s as an adult. I have made a lot of Tilly’s patterns and as expected the instructions are great. Probably the trickiest part is adding the fly zip but I found the instructions very clear to follow and if you do get stuck there is an extra detailed blog post over on their site that goes into more detail.

I made the size 5 as per my waist measurement but I did end up taking them in somewhat.  I also reduced the width of the flare, at only 5ft 2 inches I think I needed something a little more subtle. I have written a blog post with more details of the alterations I made which can be found here:https://wordpress.com/post/jennylovestosew.wordpress.com/1963

In conclusion, I love how these have turned and I am already thinking about making a second pair.
