I love wearing stripes and the opportunity to play with the direction really drew me to this pattern. The stripes are pretty subtle on this fabric, but it’s perfect for a summer version of the Lacey dress – it’s a lightweight linen/cotton blend and was a delight to sew with! I made the size 8 and the only change was to swap the in-seam pockets for patch pockets because the in-seam pocket pieces were absolutely TINY! This swap also gave me another opportunity to play with stripe direction. This was a super quick and easy dress to sew, but if you’re a beginner I would steer clear of the Style Arc patterns until you have a few garments under your belt, because the instructions aren’t very detailed. Lacey is definitely a pattern I will use again!
