Great for relaxing – not sure about swimming

I’m really pleased with how this pattern turned out in the end but it was a bit of a struggle to get there.

This pattern has a fitted jersey lining which naturally, because of Big 4 ease, was much too big. That meant a lot of fitting to stop it looking like a weird baby grow.

As I had to change the stretch lining so much that meant I also had to refit the woven main fabric. But as this had no stretch and the construction is shaped with panels instead of darts like the lining I basically had to fit two separate garments then try and fit the two together.

The beach coat however, was really simple to make and I love to wear around the house in the summer as it’s so light a comfortable.
