Epicea Blouse in white cotton

A review of Orageuse Épicéa Blouse

This is such a cute little blouse which is perfect to make with a cute cotton fabric! I’d decided pretty much straight away on the short sleeve version as I had limited fabric and thought this would be more suitable for summer days anyway. Both versions have a cute crossover back with an open section above the back waist. The waist is then finished with this long tie which wraps around your waist into a cute bow!

I made the size 36 which is for a 33″ bust and I’m a 32″. I didn’t make any initial alterations to the pattern but when the side seams were sewn I tried it on and realised that the shoulder seam lies a little further back on my shoulder than it’s meant to (next time I’ll do a forward shoulder adjustment). Also, that the shoulder edges were quite pointy (technical term?!) so I just took in the shoulder seam at the outer edge only by about 2cm, the shoulder fitted much better after this!
