A review of Butterick Dress and Jumpsuit B6130

Reviewed by Draculash on 5th April, 2018

Pattern Description: Dress and jumpsuit (loose-fitting through bust) have bias collar, lined bodice and midriff, and back zipper. A: self-lined sleeves. A, B and C: princess seams. D: wide legged. All are semi-fitted through hips.

Pattern Sizing: 6-14 and 14- 22

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. Although these days I do not really use sewing instructions I just use my own order of construction which might not be the same as the instructions advise you to.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really like the versatility of this pattern, because it lends itself to colour blocking.

Fabric Used: Cotton lawn for the bodice, lining and trouser and a medium weight cotton for the collar and waistband.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I sized down from size 14 to 10 (I prefer my clothes to be more fitted), cut the trouser leg straight, which meant I took out 2.5 cm from the back crotch and shortened the trouser by 10 cm.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? yes and yes
