This is my second Mirri dress. It’s the easiest dress pattern I’ve ever used and the quickest to sew. In ten easy steps you have a body-hugging faux wrap dress and there’s a YouTube tutorial if you feel the need. The most difficult part is cutting the points in the bodice which later become the pleats.
The pattern offers 4 length versions (this is the middi) and suggests lightweight jersey, NOT ponte or cotton lycra. It features a high neckline and sleeves built into the body which are finished with a sleeve band. I added 2 inches to the length but raised the waistline by about 1/2 an inch.
It’s a great pattern, well thought out, stylish, suitable for beginners. Once I’ve found the right fabric, I’ll be making a third one for summer.
