True Bias Dani Short and Pant

Buy the Dani Short and Pant sewing pattern from True Bias. The Dani is an elastic waist short or pant with in-seam and rear pockets, a small paperbag high waist, and a cuff. Views A and C are shorts with an approximate 3" inseam. Views B and D are pants that hit at the ankle with an approximate 27.5" inseam. Views A and B have a zip fly and two buttons at the waist, while Views C and D have a full elastic waistband for an easy pull on fit.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50). This option is only available for sizes 0 – 18 (because the designer currently only prints this pattern in paper format for sizes 0 – 18). If you would like to purchase sizes 14 – 32, please select the copy shop option.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Pocket lining (1/3 yd): Lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton voile, rayon challis, and rayon bemberg.

View B: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.8 - 3 yd (2.6 - 2.7 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.3 - 3 yd (2.1 - 2.7 m).

View C: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-12 only): 1.3 -1.5 yd (1.2 - 1.4 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 1.5 yd (0.9 - 1.4 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20 or UK 16 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14 – 32 block has a 1″ larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5’5″.

Notions: Coordinating thread; 2" wide elastic, 1 1/4 yd for sizes 0-18 or 2 yd for sizes 14-32; 1/3 yd of lightweight fusible interfacing // Views A and B only: zipper: 5" for sizes 0-6 , 6" for sizes 8-12, 7" for sizes 14-20, 8" for sizes 22-26, 9" for sizes 28-32; two 5/8" buttons.
