True Bias Children's Mini Southport Dress

Buy the Children's Mini Southport Dress sewing pattern from True Bias. The Mini Southport Dress is a simplified, children's version of the Southport Dress. It's designed with a button opening at centre front and a combination elastic and drawstring waist. The neck and armhole openings are finished with bias tape, and the skirt hits a bit above the knee.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton voile, quilting cotton, linen, and double gauze.

Fabric requirements: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 1.25 yd (0.9 - 1.2 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 0.8 - 1.25 yd (0.7 - 1.2 m).

Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or directional prints.

Sizing: 2 - 10 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Coordinating thread; 2 yd (1.8 m) of single fold 1/2" (1.3 cm) bias tape; 1/8 yd (0.1 m) of lightweight interfacing; three (sizes 2-3) or four (sizes 4-10) 1/4"-3/8" (0.6-1 cm) buttons; 3/4 yd (0.7 m) of 3/8" (1 cm) elastic; safety pin.
