Suggested fabrics:
Self fabric: Medium weight fabrics with a small to moderate amount of stretch. Make sure the fabric isn't too thick for your machine to handle! Easy to sew: fleece (bamboo, man-made), athletic materials. More challenging to sew: knits (wool, cotton, acrylic blends).
Contrast fabric (Variation 1): Thin to medium weight fabrics with some stretch: same as self, stretch denim, stretch suiting. Materials with no stretch such as leather can be used for the shoulder detail but NOT for the back detail (stretch needed for arm movement).
Fabric requirements:
Variation 1 (all cut from one fabric): 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 3.2 m (3.5 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2.4 m (2.7 yd).
Variation 1 (with contrast) - self fabric: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 3.0 m (3.3 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2.0 m (2.2 yd).
Variation 1 (with contrast) - yoke fabric: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 0.3 m (0.4 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 0.3 m (0.4 yd).
Variation 2: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 3.0 m (3.3 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2.0 m (2.2 yd).
Sizing: XS - XL. Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Fusible interfacing for knits (51 cm/20" wide, must have stretch), 2.4 m (2.7 yd); five buttons or toggles.
