Buy the Camas Blouse sewing pattern from Thread Theory. Enjoy the unrestricted comfort of a tee with the put-together elegance of a blouse. This blouse is designed to be COMFORTABLE and can be sewn in knits or stretch fabrics. It features shoulder and back yokes, elegant gathering, and a curved V-shaped neckline placket.

The gathers create a lovely shape that is loose enough to float over the body rather than cling to it. The delicately curved hem can be tucked into trousers and skirts or can be left loose to float over skinny jeans. The slim sleeves end just below the elbow to create the perfect multi-season blouse. Instructions detail how to create a variety of closures - learn how to add buttonholes to a knit placket, add snaps, or create a pull over blouse and skip buttonholes entirely. Fabric requirements are included for both a colour-blocked blouse and a blouse made from one fabric.

Camas Blouse - Thread Theory

Size cut: 6

Alterations: I did have some trouble with the placket. It turned out too short. I didn't want to cut and interface two more plackets, so I sewed a loose stitch and gathered on each side of the blouse to make the placket extend 5/8. I don't think it's super obvious. I also took in the sleeve at the bottom by an inch-ish.

Fabric Type: Light jersey knit and suede-ish woven

How it went: It's cute, and I'll make it again. Probably in a size down.
