Lenghtened Almost Long Trousers ;)

This is my first rendition of the Almost Long Trousers from The Assembly Line. I made them in size L, and my measurements are: height: 178 cm, waist 89 cm, hip 117 cm. Fabric is a cotton twill with a bit of elastane in it, so it stretches slightly. My second pair were made out of a rigid cotton, and they are borderline too small.

I lengthened the trousers about 7 cm, partly because I'm tall (178 cm) and partly because it was winter... I actually lengthened the trousers with extra fabric afterwards! :D Looks ok, though, I call it a feature and topstitched it. ;) I also shortened the waist elastic quite a bit, can't remember exactly how much, but probably to about a size M.

Also, next time I'll taper the legs a little more. There is a 9 cm difference between the size XS to size L (my size) in circumference of the bottom cuffs - a little too much, I think. Even though my ancles get chubbier when I add weight, they don't get THAT much chubbier. :D

(Sorry about the all black outfit. What can I say - I like black clothes.)
