Versatile, easy make

I loved the shape of this top at the shoulders.  I am a 36" bust and wasn't sure if I should make a small or medium, so I made a toile and the small was fine.  The A line shaping allows it to float gracefully at the hips.  I will say I made quite a few adjustments to the top to get it to look the way I wanted.  I felt that the arm scythe was too low and showed off my bra so I lowered the front by an inch to lift it up.  I also made wider straps rather than the shoestring ones, again so I didn't have to show off my underwear!  The top has a facing that ends under the bust, this was a great length and gives good structure and shaping.  I made mine in a very fine liberty linen, and then used a complementing lightweight linen for the facing.  A super easy make, well suited for a beginner and a nice wardrobe staple.  I can see myself making more of these for sure
