Embroidered Chambray Alice Dree

I love this dress. I made up @tessutifabrics #tessutialicedress from some beautiful embroidered light denim or chambray (not sure which it is). This dress is perfect for the hot humid St. Louis summer weather. I made a size L with no adjustments (B41W35H42).

The instructions were clear and easy to follow.  If you want the sleeve caps to drape, I would recommend not using the optional interfacing.  I did use is and the sleeve caps are pretty stiff, which I like in my dress.  The sleeve caps are just a bit fussy, but not difficult if you take it slow.  The other slightly tricky part for me is the gathers, I just struggle with them.  But using 3 rows of stitching and a contrasting bobbin thread made it much easier.  I am sure I will make this pattern again, either as a dress or top, or both!!

Alice Dress / Top

This is my most used piece in my entire wardrobe (or maybe next to my rain coat) It is wonderful to wear loos fitting but stylish. The sizing is a little big the first one I made in a size L and I use it just as much as this one that is a size M one size smaller then I should choose according to the mechurments but the fit is better. I love the simplicity and even it the pattern is so simple it looks stunning. It the first thing to be used after every wash and I have been wearing it some important work things and felt spectacular.
