Faux suede Adelaide Jacket

I cut size 20 which is my usual size. I usually do a FBA but did not want a dart on the front and because the jacket has so much positive ease I could get away without this adjustment. I love the two piece sleeves that fit really well without my usual full bicep adjustment. I did shorten the sleeves above the elbow and add length below the elbow and I also added a 1/2” high round back adjustment . The instructions are short but this is an easy jacket to sew and I had no problems with it’s construction. My faux suede had  Sherpa fleece on the reverse side so I made the jacket without a lining or facings. I bound the edges with homemade bias binding which was very straight forward because of the boxy shape. I dropped the patch pocket to the bottom of the jacket. This was my first time making a jacket and it was very straight forward. It is a very easy relaxed style and I have worn it loads already.

Adelaide Woven Jacket review

I love the boxy shape of this jacket and I couldn't wait to make it in this wide corduroy. It's fully lined and perfectly drafted. It was a great companion on my summer vacation to Scandinavia. Besides the big visible pockets, there are also pockets in the side seams. This is a size 8.
