Lovely For Life
1950's Halter in Ankara Fabric!!

Pattern Description: If you are looks for a flirty top for summer try this. It is cute alone or if you dont like to be that daring you could pare a button down top over it and tie is at the high waist.

Pattern Sizing: 12

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, Absolutely

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes except for the band step confused me at first or I was not paying attention.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love it! Very quick and easy make. Great style

Fabric Used: Ankara Fabric

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a band to that back instead of the button because the issues i had with the band. Again which might have been my error.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes and I did!

Conclusion:

This pattern was a surprisingly quick sew. It took me an evening to complete* approximately 3 hours. I love the pattern even though I was not sure that I would. It fit well in the bust but I could have used a couple more inches on the band at back. The instructions were easy except for View A, step: on this step int does not say to fold over the end of the band so mine came out to have a raw end until I fixed it. I should have caught this but did not. I did change the closure on this from a single button to elastic band because there was not enough fabric on the band and I did not want to get pulling from a single button. You do have to slip over your head instead of buttoning on but it still works for me and the tie makes it very secure. I absolutely would sew this pattern again and have some thoughts already on what fabric I would do it in but I would extend the band and probably use two buttons.
