Buy the 1069 trousers, shorts and skirts sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Misses’ wide leg trousers can be full length with carriers and tie belt or cropped, or can be shorts with carriers and tie belt. All with back zipper. Real wrap skirt can be floor or midi length.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:

Suggested fabrics: Challis, crepe, crepe back satin, lined types, silky types. A,D also in double georgette. B,C,E also in cotton types, chambray.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: D5 (4-6-8-10-12) P5 (12-14-16-18-20) approx. UK sizes D5 (4 – 8), P5 (8– 16). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Simplicity Trousers, Shorts & Skirts 1069

These Simplicity culottes are great for beginners. They are fairly simple construction, with a few darts, facings and an invisible zip.
There is a choice of a few pairs of trousers and skirts on this pattern so if you get on well it is you have quite a few basic separates here to add to your wardrobe.
I made view B, the culotte length without a wasitband.
I used a lovely drapey satin and I have to say I just love these culottes. I also managed to squeeze (and I mean squeeze!) a matching camisole top out of the remainder of the 2 meters I bought, this means when I wear them together they look like a faux jumpsuit !
