Mimi G jeans - Simplicity S8516

I made these Simplicity 8516 jeans recently and I love them.  They are my first pair of MeMade jeans.  I spent a lot of time on the fit, using online resources such as the jeans fitting ebook on Closet Core Patterns website, as there was no help with fitting at all in the pattern.  For the construction of the jeans I found the written instructions to be fairly minimal (the norm for big 4 patterns in my opinion) so I relied heavily on the Mimi G sew along videos on YouTube which was very clear and absolutely invaluable.  She has top tips like how to approach the top stitching, and the order of assembly was different to the pattern notes in some cases, but it all worked out very well.  So a positive review from me; I am very pleased with how the jeans turned out and will definitely be making more pairs from this pattern.

Please take a look at my blog at sewminigems.wordpress.com to see more details on this make.
