Sew Bake Make Baker Barrel Leg Pants

Buy the Baker Barrel Leg Pants sewing pattern from Sew Bake Make. The Baker is a high rise, elastic waist utility pant that is perfectly slouchy. The shape comes from curved side seams and darted inner leg panels. Both views have a drawstring, front and back patch pockets, cargo pockets, and fun topstitching details.

View A has a more traditional straight leg but with subtle barrel shaping from the darted inner panels. View A has a drawstring hem option.

View B is the barrel leg view. It has a more curved barrel shape, much more relaxed/oversized silhouette, and shorter inseam. View B is meant to hit at the ankle.

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight woven fabrics that have good structure and not too much drape such as twill weaves, linen, lightweight canvas, corduroy or denim. Fabrics between 6-9 oz work best.

View A also lends itself well to drapier fabrics such as tencel twill, satin, cotton double gauze, cupro or other drapey medium weight fabrics.

Fabric requirements: If using directional fabric, you may need more.

45" (1.14 m) wide fabric: 2 7/8 - 4 1/2 yd (2.6 - 4.1 m).

54" (1.4 m) wide fabric: 2 2/3 - 3 7/8 yd (2.4 - 3.5 m).

Sizing: 00 – 36 (approx. UK 6 – 38, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted for someone who is 5'6" (167 cm) tall.
