Buy the Sage Coat, Jacket and Vest sewing pattern from Oh Me Oh My Sewing. This pattern includes three variations: a coat with an oversized fit and button closure, a jacket with a standard fit and tie closure, and a vest with a standard fit, tie closure and cropped length. Perfect for upcycling quilts into quilt coats, the pattern is unlined but includes optional bound seams for a reversible garment.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Heavy weight woven fabrics. This pattern was drafted with repurposing quilts or blankets in mind. Coating and pre-quilted fabrics will work as well.

Contrast: Quilting cotton.

Fabric requirements: 

Coat or Jacket: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2.25 yd (1.9 - 2.1 m) // 60" (152 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 2 yd (1.4 - 1.9 m).

Vest: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 0.75 - 1 yd (0.7 - 1 m) // 60" (152 cm) wide fabric: 0.75 - 1 yd (0.7 - 1 m).

Contrast: 0.5 - 0.75 yd (0.5 - 0.6 m).

Sizing: 00 – 26 (approx. UK 6/8 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Coat: five 3/4" (2 cm) buttons // Jacket or Vest: string for tube turning.
