Buy the Ruby Top sewing pattern from Oh Me Oh My Sewing. This relaxed fit top features a square neckline and cropped length. Choose between a front or back tie closure, or no ties. The neckline and armholes are finished with bias tape.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, washed linen, viscose, cotton lawn, voile, and rayon challis.

Fabric requirements: 

45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 0.5 - 1.25 yd (0.5 - 1.2 m).

60" (152 cm) wide fabric: 0.5 - 1.25 yd (0.5 - 1.2 m).

Sizing: 00 – 26 (approx. UK 6/8 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 3.5 yd (3.2 m) of single fold bias tape (approx. 1" / 2.5 cm wide unfolded).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (12 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: Yes.

A lot shorter than I thought but easy to follow

I think it’s cute but I won’t use it to make another one. I think you need to upsize if you have more of a triangle shape. I measured myself and went with the recommended sizing but I felt it could have been looser and a bit longer, but that’s just me. I’m 40 so don’t like to show my midriff. I was hoping that in my high waist jeans it would cover but not quite. I altered it with an extended peplum and also used piping instead of bias tape to give it a fun lift.
