Merchant & Mills Grove Creations PDF

Buy the Grove Creations sewing pattern bundle from Merchant & Mills. A set of four patterns to make for the home. This project came about when Merchant & Mills were renovating their retreat house in Rye (The Grove) and wanted to use their own fabrics in a home setting. This pattern bundle includes:

Duvet set

Instructions for making two duvet covers, one with concealed buttons and one with ties, and matching pillow slips, again either with buttons or ties. Options are included for single, double, king and super king.

Pillowcase

Instructions for making a simple pillowcase with a deep envelope. Ideal for scatter cushions for the bed or sofa.

Quilt and sofa/bed topper

Instructions for making a quilt or a topper for a bed or sofa. The topper is ideal for covering a sofa your dog might want to jump on, or for wooden benches. The topper is made using self made fabric ties, and the quilt is made with lots of linen thread ties, but these techniques are interchangeable.

Relaxed blind

Instructions for making a simple draped roman blind. This type of blind is a more modern take on a traditional roman blind and very much suits a laundered linen for an informal look.

Suggested fabrics: 

Duvet set: 3-6 oz. linen, cotton double gauze, brushed cotton, Indian handlooms, cotton block prints, cotton lawn.

Pillowcase: 3-12 oz. linen, cotton double gauze, brushed cotton, Indian handlooms, cotton block prints, hemp blends, wool, cotton corduroy, cotton canvas or twill, cotton jacquard.

Quilt and sofa/bed topper: 3-6 oz. linen, cotton double gauze, brushed cotton, Indian handlooms, cotton block prints.

Relaxed blind: Outer: dry oilskin, mid-heavy weight cotton, canvas or drill, mid weight denim (8-14 oz.) // Lining: cotton calico, cotton poplin.

Duvet set: 15 mm (1/2") buttons for duvet set with buttons: 5 for single, 6 for double, 7 for king, 8 for super king.
