McCalls Vintage Jacket M8491
Buy the M8491 Vintage 1980's Jacket sewing pattern from McCalls. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Vintage McCall’s 1980’s unlined jacket sewing pattern. Unlined Jacket A or B with seaming has extended shoulders, shoulder pads, notched collar, long sleeves (NOTE: Wrong side of fabric will show when sleeves are rolled up) upper patch pocket, front welt pockets, top-stitching and machine-stitched hem. Jacket A has drawstring in back casing.

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight fabrics such as Baby Cord, Cotton, Cotton Blends, Damask, Gabardine, Flannel, Lightweight Denim, Lightweight Wool and Wool Blends, Linen, Polyester Double Knits, Poplin, Seersucker, Wool Double Knits. NOTE: Not suitable for diagonals, large checks, uneven stripes and uneven plaids. Interfacing: Lightweight Fusible or non-fusible.
Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.
Sizing: A (8-10-12-14-16), approx. UK sizes A (6 – 14). based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Thread. View A,B: 1/2" (1.3cm) thick covered shoulder pads, one 1" (2.5cm) button.
